Summary

The Office of Public Affairs (OPA) is seeking a Visual Information Specialist (Senior Videographer/Content Manager). As a Senior Videographer/Content Manager, you will serve as a senior adviser and consultant providing expert artistic and technical advice, creating productions, and communicating information through a wide range of media.

Duties

In this role as a Senior Videographer/Content Manager, you will be responsible for: Producing high-quality video content for internal and external channels that supports agency initiatives, policy priorities, and strategic communications objectives. Planning, coordinating, shooting, and editing professional video productions across a variety of formats, including events, interviews, studio productions, and digital-first content. Maintaining the video production calendar and task board, coordinating project schedules and deliverables for video and photo, and ensuring assignments are completed on time in support of agency priorities. Managing the agency's video production studios, professional camera equipment, lighting, audio systems, editing software, and digital asset workflows, ensuring production capabilities remain organized, modern, and operational. Maintaining and organizing the agency's digital asset storage systems, helping to establish a system for storing long- and short-term assets. Identifying and developing proactive video content opportunities that enhance the agency's digital channels, primarily on social media, and support communications goals. Providing creative guidance and technical expertise to videography and photography projects, maintaining consistent visual standards, and recommending improvements to production workflows, equipment, and emerging technologies.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: In addition to meeting the basic requirement, applicants must also meet the minimum qualification requirement. SK-14: Applicant must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS/SK-13 level: Producing professional video content from pre-production through final delivery, including planning, scripting, filming, and editing for recurring video projects completed each year; AND Operating professional video production equipment, such as cinema or mirrorless cameras, lighting kits, audio recording devices, and related accessories, in varied production settings as part of regular duties; AND Editing video content using non-linear editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent) to complete regularly assigned video deliverables, including timeline assembly, color correction, audio adjustment, and graphics integration; AND Capturing and editing video content for field productions, live events, and studio environments, including preparation, on-site recording, and post-production editing for event-based or studio-based projects performed throughout the year.
