$120k - $130k Salary + Superannuation, depending on qualifications and experience

Connected Care is looking for a Service Manager to lead the delivery and performance of our statewide mental health service across Tasmania.

This is an opportunity to combine your clinical expertise, leadership capability and service management experience while supporting a geographically dispersed multidisciplinary workforce.

You will lead Clinical Team Leaders, strengthen clinical practice, oversee service delivery and build strong partnerships to ensure people receive the right level of mental health support at the right time.

About Connected Care

Connected Care is a statewide, integrated mental health service delivered by Wellways in partnership with Stride Mental Health and Clarity Health Care and commissioned by Primary Health Tasmania (PHT).

Connected Care provides a free mental health service for adults aged 18 years and over, using a ‘no wrong door’ approach and stepped care principles to ensure people can access the right support at the right time.

Our multidisciplinary teams bring together clinical, psychosocial and peer expertise to provide proactive care coordination, outreach and flexible service delivery. We work alongside participants, families, carers and service providers to create coordinated pathways across health and community services.

About you

As Service Manager , you will provide statewide leadership for Connected Care and be accountable for the effective operation, performance and quality of the service.

You will lead Clinical Team Leaders and a geographically dispersed multidisciplinary workforce, ensuring consistent practice standards, positive participant experiences and high-quality service delivery across all Connected Care locations.

Working closely with the Tasmania Manager, Team Leaders, consortium partners, service providers and internal support functions, you will translate organisational priorities into meaningful day-to-day practice and support an integrated approach to mental health service delivery.

You will provide clinical leadership and expert oversight in relation to complex clinical presentations, risk management and clinical governance. You will also foster a culture of clinical excellence, reflective practice, continuous learning and continuous improvement across the service.

The role will also have responsibility for:

Leading service delivery and workforce performance across Tasmania

Supporting workforce capability, development and performance

Overseeing financial management and service performance

Maintaining strong quality and clinical governance processes

Building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships

Supporting coordinated pathways across health and community services

Ensuring services are delivered safely and effectively

Supporting consistent practice across all Connected Care locations

Providing leadership and oversight of complex clinical and risk matters

Regular physical presence across Connected Care locations is an inherent requirement. Travel across Tasmania is a core requirement , with frequency determined by operational needs.

Occasional work outside normal business hours and participation in an on-call roster may also be required.

You will also need:

Relevant tertiary qualification and current registration or accreditation, at the level required for that discipline – refer to position description for detailed list

Demonstrated experience in senior leadership and management within a mental health or community services environment

Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams and supporting workforce capability and performance

Strong understanding of clinical governance, risk management and quality improvement

Demonstrated ability to lead complex service delivery across multiple locations

Right to work in Australia

Valid Driver Licence and willingness to travel across Tasmania

Satisfactory National Police Record Check

International Police Check (if applicable)

Current Working with Vulnerable People Registration/Check and NDIS Workers Screening check

NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate – Quality, Safety and You – free online course
