Monday to Friday (Days)

30 + Hours/Week

Responsible to the Paper Mill Shipper Lead Hand/Mill Supervisor, the Shipper Helper is responsible for the safe and efficient performance of all duties, while controlling raw materials received and stock control. All employees are mandated to create a zero-injury environment and engage actively in all areas of SPS.

Responsibilities:

• •Perform safe and efficient operation of a Lift truck
• •Assist in loading and unloading of trucks and trailers
• •Assist in shipping as directed
• •Back up Lead Hand when required
• •Accurate completion of all paperwork and data entry
• •Placement of product in warehouse
• •Use computer programs to compile accurate information and/or reports
• •Coordinate changes/adjustments that will affect team member’s areas of responsibility
• •Participate and adhere to safety culture and report unsafe conditions
• •Maintain good housekeeping standards

Requirements:

• •Possess a valid forklift operator’s license
• •Knowledge of customer loading patterns on trailer
• •Computer skills i.e., Microsoft Office programs
• •General math skills
• •RF Scanner experience would be an asset
• •Class A-Z License would be desirable
• •Ability to perform physical requirements of the job
• •Are 18 years of age or older
• •Have Grade 12 education or equivalent (Proof Required)
