Elmet Technologies is hiring a Shipper / Receiver to join our team in Lewiston, Maine.

You’ll prepare orders for shipment, load and unload trucks, package materials, maintain accurate shipping information, and help make sure products and materials move safely and efficiently through our facility.

What You’ll Do

As a Shipper / Receiver, you’ll help make sure incoming and outgoing materials are handled safely, accurately, and on time.

During a typical shift, you’ll:

• •Prepare customer orders and materials for shipment
• •Box, package, skid, and weigh outgoing products
• •Load and unload trucks safely
• •Support shipping needs across our production areas
• •Make sure materials are properly prepared and protected for transportation
• •Use forklifts, cranes, and other material-handling equipment
• •Use packaging equipment such as banders, staplers, nail guns, scales, and hand tools
• •Maintain accurate shipping and receiving information
• •Complete required transactions and documentation
• •Follow established ISO, quality, and shipping procedures
• •Keep the shipping area clean, safe, and organized
• •Coordinate with teammates and production areas to keep materials moving
• •Support additional shipping and receiving activities as needed

Requirements

You Could Be a Great Fit!

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable working in a fast-moving manufacturing environment.

You could be a strong fit if you:

• •Have a high school diploma or GED
• •Have experience in manufacturing, shipping, receiving, warehousing, logistics, or material handling
• •Can perform basic math
• •Are comfortable working with industrial and material-handling equipment
• •Can follow established shipping, quality, and safety procedures
• •Communicate clearly with coworkers and other departments
• •Can work independently when needed
• •Work well as part of a team
• •Can stay organized when priorities change
• •Have a strong safety record
• •Have reliable and predictable attendance
• •Are willing to learn new systems, equipment, and processes

Previous shipping experience is preferred, but it isn’t the only way to qualify.

Experience in manufacturing, warehousing, distribution, material handling, production, or another industrial environment can provide a strong foundation for this role.

Equipment You May Work With

This is a hands-on shipping role, and you’ll use a variety of equipment to prepare and move materials. Depending on the work, that can include:

Forklifts • Cranes • Scales • Banders • Staplers/Nail Guns • Saws • Routers • Hand Tools

This Is Hands-On Manufacturing Work

This isn’t a desk-based shipping job.

You’ll spend much of your day moving around an active manufacturing environment, preparing materials, working with industrial equipment, and coordinating shipments.

The primary schedule is based on 8-hour shifts , and overtime during the week or on weekends may be required based on production needs.
