As our Shop Manager, you'll be key to our mission to enrich lives and strengthen communities. You'll lead the day-to-day operations of the store, inspire staff and volunteers and create a welcoming retail experience while driving sustainable shop performance.

Your opportunity

As our Shop Manager, you'll lead the successful operation of an Anglicare retail store, balancing commercial performance with exceptional customer service and meaningful community connection.

You'll support and develop staff and volunteers, drive sales through effective merchandising and stock management, and ensure the store remains safe, welcoming and well connected to the local community.

With integrity and resilience, you will:

• •Lead, support and develop staff and volunteers to create a positive team culture.
• •Drive shop sales through strong customer service, merchandising, pricing and stock control.
• •Create a welcoming, safe and well-presented environment for customers and volunteers.
• •Manage cash handling, shop records, safety, risk and operational requirements.
• •Build relationships with the local community, churches and Anglicare services.

What you'll bring

You're an experienced retail or hospitality leader who knows how to bring out the best in people while keeping a busy store running smoothly.

You bring strong customer service, team leadership and organisational skills, together with the ability to balance people, performance and day-to-day operations. You also share our organisational values of integrity, justice, compassion and excellence, embedding them in everything you do.

What's required:

• •Experience leading, mentoring and developing teams in retail or hospitality.
• •Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced retail or hospitality environment.
• •Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-management skills.
• •Strong organisational skills and experience managing competing priorities.
• •Ability to support and promote Anglicare's Christian mission and vision.

What's preferred:

• •Experience managing retail sales, stock control and visual merchandising.
• •Experience leading or supervising volunteers.
• •Experience with retail cash handling and financial controls.
• •Experience building relationships with local communities or community organisations.
