Shrink Wrap Technician

Shifts Available: Friday - Sunday (6a-6p)

The Shrink-Wrap Technician will package finished products using an automated shrink-wrap machine.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

These are essential functions a qualified applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation

• •Operates shrink-wrap machine to package products.
• •Consults with shipping supervisors to determine products to be shrink-wrapped during shift.
• •Performs minor adjustments on machine to accommodate different products to be wrapped.
• •Sorts and counts unwrapped products and ensures they are wrapped correctly.
• •Inspects and removes defective or damaged products.
• •Transports wrapped products to shipping area.
• •Performs basic maintenance on the shrink-wrap machine.
• •Notifies supervisor or other appropriate staff when supplies need to be reordered.
• •Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions

• •Frequent exposure to manufacturing environment with one or more unpleasant or hazardous conditions including but not limited to exposure to dust, dirt, high noise levels, chemicals, etc. 21% to 50% of work time.
• •Incumbent constantly required to walk, stand, grasp, reach, push/pull, bend, stoop, twisting, and use of manual dexterity for prolonged periods of time.
• •Incumbent regularly required to hear, speak, and use color vision.
• •Incumbent regularly required to carry and lift up to 50 lbs
