Site Civil Engineering Intern - Summer 2027

Wight & Company is currently looking for summer interns to work in our Land Development Group as a Site Civil Engineer in our Darien office. Engineering interns have opportunities to work with the engineering teams on projects and to also collaborate with Wight’s architects and construction managers.

Key Responsibilities:

Work with Junior and Senior Engineers to develop creative solutions to challenges in the design processes

Expand upon existing technical and computer skills to aid with day-to-day activities

Attend team and client meetings in-house and on-site

Ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external client relations

Provide meaningful contributions to project advancement and completion

Requirements:

Current student pursuing a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Civil Engineering

Strong communication skills

Good organization and computer skills

Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D a plus

Openness to learn and have fun

Salary Range: $20 - $25/hr. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
