Social Worker - Cared for Children

Liquid Personnel is currently recruiting for an experienced Social Worker to join the Cared for Children's Team at Knowsley.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a dedicated team supporting children and young people in care, ensuring they achieve the best possible outcomes through effective care planning, permanence planning, and statutory intervention.

Key Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of Cared for Children and Young People.

Complete statutory visits, assessments, and care planning.

Undertake permanence planning and pathway planning where required.

Prepare reports and attend court proceedings.

Work closely with foster carers, residential providers, families, and partner agencies.

Contribute to care reviews and ensure plans are progressed effectively.

Maintain accurate and timely case records.

Requirements

Social Work England registration.

Qualified Social Worker status.

Previous experience working within a Cared for Children, Looked After Children, or Children in Care Team.

Experience completing court work and preparing court reports.

Strong knowledge of children's legislation and safeguarding practices.

Excellent assessment, communication, and relationship-building skills.
