The Role

As part of the Assessment Team, you'll be at the forefront of safeguarding, undertaking high-quality assessments and ensuring children receive the right support at the right time.

You will:

Complete timely assessments and Section 47 enquiries to identify risk and determine the most appropriate interventions

Manage a diverse caseload, contributing to Child Protection Conferences, statutory planning, and court proceedings

Lead complex and high-risk cases, driving positive outcomes for children and families

Support and develop less experienced colleagues through coaching, mentoring, and reflective practice

Work closely with partners across health, education, and other agencies to deliver coordinated, child-centred support

About You

We're keen to hear from passionate, child-focused practitioners who are committed to delivering excellent social work practice.

You'll have:

A Degree in Social Work and current Social Work England registration

2+ years' post-qualified experience and successful completion of the ASYE

Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, assessment frameworks, and statutory thresholds

Excellent analytical skills, sound professional judgement, and the ability to make confident decisions in complex situations

A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
