Software Dev Engineer III, Amazon Payment Services

• JOB DESCRIPTION
• Amazon is looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer to design and build large-scale, distributed computing solutions with a focus on information security within the digital payments domain. In this role, you will drive the team's technical direction, shape long-term architecture and vision, and own major deliverables end-to-end. You will provide technical leadership to the engineering team and drive roadmaps for secure, scalable payment solutions powered by cloud computing.

• Key job responsibilities
• •Design and develop highly secure, scalable, and fault-tolerant distributed systems for digital payment solutions using cloud computing technologies
• •Drive the overall development lifecycle of solutions and manage complex projects from inception to delivery
• •Collaborate with security engineers and product managers to develop strategy and roadmaps for secure customer-facing solutions
• •Partner with engineering peers to develop technical designs and approaches for new product development
• •Establish and promote best practices for software development, documentation, and code quality
• •Ensure designs meet requirements and deliver high-quality work within defined timelines
• •Manage project prioritization, planning of features, stakeholder communication, and tracking of commitments
• •Drive operational excellence through monitoring and operation of production services

Basic qualifications

• - 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• - 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• - 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• - Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Preferred qualifications

- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
