Software Development Engineer, Ads Marketing Effectiveness & Intelligence

• The Ads Marketing Effectiveness & Intelligence (ME&I) engineering team is looking for experienced Full-stack Software Development Engineers to design, build, and operate marketing technology platforms serving the China market for Amazon Ads.
• We are a full-stack engineering team delivering personalized content, training, and advertising insights to advertisers worldwide. Our products help grow the number of Amazon Ads advertisers and deepen their usage of Amazon Ads products. We are part of the Marketing organization within Advertising — one of the fastest-growing parts of Amazon.
• Our CN engineering portfolio includes a content management system, WeChat Mini Program, alliance partner portal, customer data pipeline, and knowledge base automation. You will own production systems that directly drive advertiser acquisition, engagement, and retention in China.

• Key job responsibilities
• - Own full-stack services across the CN Ads Marketing portfolio.
• - Design new systems and optimize existing architectures for reliability, scalability, and performance.
• - Architect WeChat Mini Program features, authentication services, and cross-partition data pipelines.
• - Independently troubleshoot complex issues and drive system performance optimization.
• - Exert technical influence — leading design reviews, mentoring engineers, and setting engineering standards.
• - Partner with product managers, security/privacy teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• - Balance technical leadership with strong business judgment to make the right technology decisions.

Basic qualifications

• - Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• - 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• - 3+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• - Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design

Preferred qualifications

• - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
• - Experience leading engineering teams as a mentor or tech lead
• - 2+ years of building large-scale machine-learning infrastructure for online recommendation, ads ranking, personalization or search experience
• - Hands-on experience with WeChat Mini Program development and authentication services
