The Opportunity

Our location in Irving, TX currently has an opportunity for a Software Engineer in the Core Diagnostics Division.

The Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and test embedded software features using C/C++ for next-generation medical diagnostic products. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams including hardware, systems, and test engineers to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions that meet customer and business needs. In this role, you'll troubleshoot and resolve software issues, participate in code reviews and technical discussions, create and maintain software documentation and unit tests, and contribute within an Agile development environment. You'll also collaborate with global teams across multiple time zones and can travel needed to support project objectives.

What You’ll Work On

• •Develop, test, and maintain embedded software features using C/C++.
• •Debug software issues and support root cause investigation and resolution.
• •Collaborate with hardware, systems, and test engineers throughout the product development lifecycle.
• •Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions.
• •Create and maintain software documentation, unit tests, and development artifacts.
• •Adhere to software development processes, coding standards, and Agile methodologies.
• •Partner with global teams across multiple time zones to support project execution.

Required Qualifications

• •Master's degree in a related field and 1 year of relevant experience.
• •3 years of relevant experience
• •Demonstrated experience designing and developing complex software systems.
• •Demonstrated experience with modern programming languages such as C, C++, and Agile methodologies.
• •Demonstrated experience with test-driven development methodologies.
• •Demonstrated experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices.
• •Demonstrated technical proficiency, creativity, and independent thinking.
• •Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• •Demonstrated experience developing and designing software code.
• •Demonstrated experience with software design patterns.
• •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• •Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• •5 years of relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree in a related field, or
• •3 years of relevant work experience with a master's degree in a related field.
• •Demonstrated experience conducting thorough data analytics and implementing data-driven solutions.
• •Familiarity with embedded systems development.
• •Knowledge of real-time and multithreaded software concepts.

$61,300.00 – $122,700.00 In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
