Job Description

• Role Summary:
• The SW Engineer is responsible for conducting, planning, or overseeing one or more aspects of the analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of computer programs for commercial or end user applications. This role involves writing code, completing programming tasks, and performing testing and debugging of applications. The SW Engineer also completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance, and may interface with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications or develop cost estimates, budgets, and schedules.

All roles require digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday work.

Key Responsibilities:

• •Conduct analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of computer programs for commercial or end user applications.
• •Write code, complete programming tasks, and perform testing and debugging of applications.
• •Complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.
• •Interface with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
• •Develop cost estimates, budgets, and schedules as needed.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• •Bachelor's degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience
• •Experience in Java/J2EE and JavaScript preferred.
• •Experience with Angular, NodeJS, Spring, MySQL, and Linux preferred.
• •Ability to work effectively across Development, Quality Assurance (QA), automation testing, and production support functions, adapting to evolving project and business needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• •Experience in analysis, design, and programming of computer applications.
• •Experience in debugging and modifying software programs.
• •Experience in writing and maintaining technical documentation.
• •Experience in performing software testing and troubleshooting.
• •Experience in collaborating with users or stakeholders to gather requirements.
• •Experience in developing or supporting installation and maintenance procedures.
• •Experience in developing cost estimates, budgets, or schedules for software projects.
• •Experience in supporting commercial or end user applications.
• •Experience in working with cross-functional teams.
• •Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, C/C++, C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript, or HTML.
• •Experience writing automation tools using Selenium, Java, REST APIs, Python, Groovy, and related technologies.
• •Familiarity with software testing principles and quality assurance practices.
• •Solid understanding of software engineering concepts, methodologies, and Agile development practices.
• •Demonstrated experience using Generative AI and AI-assisted engineering tools to improve software development, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and productivity.
• •Ability to contribute across software development, quality engineering, test automation, and production support activities based on project needs.
• •Document processes, designs, test results, and analysis.
• •Lead root cause analysis and defect resolution activities.
• •Review and provide feedback on code, test designs, and test cases.
• •Communicate project status and technical information effectively to stakeholders.
• •Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• •Ability to take on challenges and solve problems proactively.
• •Highly driven, resourceful, and results-oriented.

Information for US Applicants

For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $95,500.00 to $ 148,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.

Travel Requirements

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
