Software Engineer - Business Systems

As a Software Engineer on the Business Systems team within Platform Engineering, you'll build the systems that make our mission run: managing certifications and credentialing, handling enrollment and orders, keeping learners informed, and holding the record of everything they've earned. You'll spend most of your time writing backend services and APIs, connecting certification workflows to commerce, communications, and the third-party platforms we depend on, including payment processors, learning management systems, and credentialing vendors.

Location : LATAM 100% Remote . Working hours are based on the US Pacific Time Zone. Minimum 6-hour overlap

Key Responsibilities

Software Delivery: Design, build, and maintain well-tested backend services and APIs that support certification, commerce, and learner-communication workflows.

Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to identify, understand, and document project requirements. Collaborate effectively with your teammates, give and receive constructive feedback, and stay aligned with team goals.

Team Standards: Work within existing team standards to keep solution delivery and process consistent, and help improve those standards as you learn what works.

Test-Driven Development: Use test-driven development to turn stakeholder needs into high-quality, maintainable solutions.

AI Innovation: Help drive the adoption of emerging AI paradigms, including agentic development and LDD.

Required Qualifications:

• •Proficiency in modern AI development practices, specifically architecting and leveraging
• AI agents, Large Language Models (LLMs), and LDD principles

• •3+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining production software services,
• ideally in a cloud-native environment

Proficiency in at least one programming language (Go and Python are used)

Proficient with test-driven development

Proficiency with Git, including cherry picking, squashing, and rebasing

Proficiency with building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions is used)

• •Experience designing, writing, and working with APIs, including integrating with third-party
• services such as payment processors, learning management systems, and credentialing
• platforms

• •Working familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS is used) and monitoring and observability
• tools, enough to support and troubleshoot the services you build
