• This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer III to join the Production Stability & Development team supporting the Market Risk Suite. This role is responsible for improving platform stability, reliability, and operational resilience through hands-on engineering, incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will work closely with business users, support teams, and developers to resolve complex production issues, drive preventative remediation, and implement automation and monitoring solutions that enhance platform performance and reduce operational risk.

Responsibilities:

• •Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
• •Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
• •Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
• •Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
• •Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
• •Automates manual release activities
• •Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
• •Investigate and resolve complex production issues across the Market Risk platform.
• •Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions to prevent issue recurrence.
• •Drive remediation of Production Known Errors (PKEs) and support operational risk reduction initiatives.
• •Develop monitoring, automation, and observability capabilities to improve system reliability and supportability.

Required Qualifications

• •Strong experience with production support, incident management, root cause analysis, and problem remediation.
• •Proven ability to translate production issues into effective engineering solutions.
• •Experience with automation, monitoring, and operational tooling.
• •Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, particularly in distributed or data-intensive systems.
• •Solid understanding of SDLC, testing, release management, and Agile delivery practices.
• •Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• •Experience with Market Risk, Risk Analytics, or related financial systems.
• •Familiarity with large-scale distributed platforms and data-intensive applications.
• •Experience working within regulated financial services environments.
• •Track record of delivering measurable stability and reliability improvements through engineering solutions.

Pay and benefits information

Pay range

$102,900.00 - $179,900.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
