The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a talented IT/Engineer student that is excited to improve battlespace awareness and decision-making, Support at all echelons across Combat Air Force (AF) Command and Control (C2) and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) enterprise, Intelligence Community (IC), Joint, and Coalition air, space, cyberspace, and intelligence components, systems, and architectures.

You’ll support software development and engineering, operations and maintenance (O&M) and research and development (R&D) for AF C2 & ISR related research, studies, analysis, operations, and you’ll increase mission effectiveness, improve information security, and implement new and emerging information access, processing, analysis and dissemination technologies in response to critical AF and IC multi-domain needs across Air, Space, and Cyber.

This position is located in Omaha, NE, selected interns will be required to work a hybrid work schedule with 2+ days in the Omaha, NE office.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for designing, developing, operating and maintaining software, firmware components, or computing systems software to be applied to and integrated with solutions or products that also encompass non-information technology related engineering or scientific disciplines. These solutions or products may require hardware, aerospace, communications, cyber, electrical, manufacturing, mechanical, or other specialized engineering domain knowledge in order to design, develop, and support software components embedded within them. Applies the appropriate software standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the system life cycle to support the generation of multidisciplinary solutions and products such as simulations of engineering and scientific problems, avionics, command and control, tactical displays, medical devices, sensors, and electro-mechanical systems. Interfaces with customers, suppliers, application users and other technical and support personnel.

Qualifications:

Required:

• •1+ years experience with modern software development, e.g., Java (J2EE), JavaScript, Spring, etc. as part of a development team utilizing strict configuration management practices e.g., git, Bitbucket, Gitlab, GitHub.
• •1+ years experience with modern web application development to include JavaScript, Node.js, and Angular.
• •Experience with industry standard build, packaging, and deployment tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab, Maven, Yum, NPM, and RPM.
• •Skilled in debugging and run time
• •Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
• •Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Software Engineering or a related field.

• •Minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred but not required
• •Previous internship/co-op or other work experience, leadership and teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular)

Pay Range :

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$39,400 - $75,900
