About Us
At Axle Energy, we’re building the infrastructure that will underpin the decarbonised energy system. Our software moves energy usage to times when electricity is cheap and green, by controlling vehicle charging, heating systems, and home batteries. We control hundreds of thousands of energy assets.
We’re building in a legacy industry and moving gigawatt-hours of electrons in the real world, but we operate at lightning speed, and we’re growing the team to meet customer demand.
We’re proud to be supported by world-leading investors, including Energize Capital and Accel.

About the role
Solutions Engineers at Axle build the integrations and technical infrastructure that enable our customers to connect distributed energy devices, orchestrate them, and participate in electricity markets.
This is a generalist engineering role, encompassing core software engineering, customer implementation, and solution design. You will work closely with our customers to understand their technical requirements, build integrations, solve complex technical challenges, and help shape our product based on real world feedback.
We encourage engineers to own as much of the problem space as they can. You will spend time talking to customers, getting feedback from users, and working closely with market operators, while collaborating with Product to deliver scalable engineering solutions.
At Axle, we work in a deliberately flat structure. That means fewer layers, faster decisions, and more ownership for everyone.
Solutions Engineering at Axle looks like
Forming a deep understanding of our domain, our platform, and our customers' technical challenges, so you have enough context to execute at speed.
Building and maintaining integrations with customer systems, distributed energy devices, and third-party platforms.
Working closely with customers to troubleshoot technical issues, support implementations, and design scalable solutions.
Steering customers towards a more direct launch plan and a better user experience.
Collaborating closely with our Product team to turn customer feedback into product improvements.
Focus on outcomes rather than process, taking ownership of the quality and impact of the final product you deliver.
Manage your own time and support others to adapt to changing scope and deadlines, to deliver 80% of the value in 20% of the time
