What you will do:

• 1. Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Trinity Health Mission, Vision, and Values in
• behaviors, practices, and decisions.
• 2. Performs ultrasound examinations using proper patient positioning, appropriate technical factors, and
• operation of 2D, M‑mode, and Doppler equipment with appropriate transducers to accurately locate,
• measure, and document anatomical structures across the lifespan.
• 3. Assists radiologists during ultrasound‑guided procedures by preparing equipment, supporting image
• acquisition, and providing procedural assistance in accordance with departmental protocols and
• professional standards.
• 4. Performs clinical assessments and utilizes cognitive sonographic skills to identify and differentiate
• normal and pathological findings, adapting procedures based on clinical and diagnostic information and
• images.
• 5. Confirms examination orders and relevant clinical information through review of requisitions and charts
• while evaluating patient preparation and scanning protocol.

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program is preferred, or
• completion of a two-year allied health program, or a bachelor’s degree.
• . Active registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in one (1)
• of the following credentials:
• •Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
• •Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS)
• •Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
• •Registered Musculoskeletal Sonographer (RMSKS) Candidates who are not ARDMS‑registered at the time of hire must obtain ARDMS registration in one
• of the above credentials within one (1) year of hire.

• Completion of the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Mandatory Reporter training
• for Child and Dependent Adult Abuse within three (3) months of hire Basic Life Support (BLS) certified within six (6) weeks of hire
