Summary of Job Duties:

• 1. Demonstrate commitment to academic achievement of all students.
• 2. Foster collegiality & teambuilding among staff; encourage active involvement in the decision-making process.
• 3. Communicate and promote expectations for high-level performance from students; hold students accountable
• for high performance; recognize excellence and achievement.
• 4. Establish and maintain an orderly and supportive classroom environment in which learners actively participate
• and show respect for one another and the instructor.
• 5. Prepare subject lesson plans utilizing the College & Career Readiness standards; submit plans as requested.
• 6. Prepare and execute lessons that reflect accommodations for differences in student learning styles.
• 7. Use technology to strengthen the teaching and learning process; use technology to supplement instruction
• through distance learning.
• 8. Conduct and arrange ongoing assessment of students' achievement through formal or informal testing.
• 9. Participate in staff development activities to improve job-related skills.
• 10. Compile, maintain, and file all reports; submit weekly attendance records and other required documents.
• 11. Attend and participate in faculty meetings and serve on staff committees as assigned.
• 12. Complete required annual professional development training as required by UAHT and AR Adult Education.
• 13. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. • Valid Arkansas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned. Adult Education endorsement required within three years of employment.
