Job Title: Specialist - Software Engineering

We are looking for a Specialist in Software Engineering with 5-7 years of experience in RPG and AS400 Programming for our Bengaluru location. The candidate should have a strong understanding of the AS400 system and RPGLE programming language. They should be well versed in CLLE, DDL, SQL, and modular coding.

Responsibilities:

• 1. Develop new and existing software programming codes.
• 2. Learn the system architecture and provide software updates and support to our customer during the initial learning phase of the job.
• 3. Code programs using RPGLE, including free form and embedded SQL RPGLE, CLLE, DDL, and DDS.
• 4. Follow programming standards and guidelines as outlined in the documentation.
• 5. Complete all tasks assigned by the management team to meet objectives in a timely manner.
• 6. Maintain a positive contribution as an essential member of the Programming Team.
• 7. Stay up to date on the latest OS version, programming language levels, and other industry releases.
• 8. Possess a basic understanding of data transmissions for use in communications.
• 9. Handle sensitive or confidential data with discretion.

Qualifications:

• 1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related field.
• 2. 5-7 years of experience in AS400 and RPGLE programming.
• 3. Knowledge of other computer systems and data storage types.
• 4. Experience in CLLE, DDL, SQL, and modular coding.
• 5. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• 6. Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

The successful candidate will be a key support personnel who provide the necessary applications development and changes for the AS400 based applications. The candidate is expected to have strong technical skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
