Sr. R&D Engineer, Peripheral Vascular

As a Senior R&D Engineer , at our Peripheral Vascular Division, you will be a core team member of our multi-disciplinary Concept team. This role will support the conception, development, integration, and evaluation of advanced electro-mechanical architecture across our product portfolio. You will partner closely with physicians, engineering teams, technology suppliers, and strategic collaborators to define requirements, assess technical feasibility, and accelerate the development of our future products.

What You Will Do

• •Support the development of next-generation peripheral vascular technologies through concept generation, prototyping, and early-stage product development.
• •Research, design, develop, modify, and verify catheter-based medical device components and subsystems with minimal supervision.
• •Translate design inputs, clinical needs, and user requirements into engineering specifications and subsystem-level designs.
• •Prototype and analyze design solutions to validate technical feasibility, concept performance, and clinical value.
• •Contribute to the rapid iteration and evaluation of concepts based on effectiveness, system reliability, manufacturability, and clinical safety.
• •Apply engineering principles to solve complex technical challenges involving catheter technologies, electromechanical systems, and innovative medical device concepts.
• •Utilize CAD and CAE tools to model mechanical, fluidic, and electromechanical components while creating detailed engineering drawings and documentation.
• •Create and refine engineering documentation, including Design History Files, in compliance with design control procedures.
• •Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing, and Project Management teams to advance concepts through feasibility and development.
• •Support regulatory compliance by following industry standards, risk management practices, and quality system requirements.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• •Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering.
• •Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• •Experience supporting catheter-based medical device development, including exposure to catheter technologies, components, design, testing, or related product development activities.
• •Exposure to electromechanical systems, electronics, sensing technologies, or electrical components used in medical device applications (eg. PFA, RF, IVUS)
• •Proficiency in mechanical engineering practices and design principles.
• •Ability to create engineering drawings and models using GD&T and CAE tools.
• •Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.
• •Familiarity with CAD tools, preferably Solidworks.
• •Experience communicating technical plans and information to cross-functional teams

US15 : $89,400 - $148,900 USD Annual

Travel Percentage: 10%
