Sr. Sourcing Commodity Leader – Structures, Ring Forgings & Machining

Job Description Summary

In this role you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the Structures, Ring Forgings and Machining commodities across the Asia region, representing spend of ~$150M. You will also be accountable for developing supplier capacity models and monitoring suppliers’ growth plans in support to the business ramp up. This will require working directly with Global Commodity Leaders and cross-functional teams, to drive the strategy and deliver on the cost out commitments to the business.

Job Description

In this role, you will:

· Work closely with Global commodity leader to help develop sourcing strategy for the assigned sub-commodities to achieve variable cost productivity, cash flow, and controllership goals

· Lead the execution of development milestones while expediting global sourcing strategies for capacity needs in the structures, ring forgings and machining commodities in the Asia region.

· Work closely with suppliers to understand capacity and constraints on the full value stream to implement projects that would remove bottlenecks.

· Balance strategy co-development with the tactical execution necessary to execute cost reduction projects through contract negotiation, process changes, and implementation of sustainable cost controls

· Work closely with engineering, buyers and sourcing quality engineers to ensure fulfillment and quality requirements are achieved

· Drive Sourcing sustainability initiatives in the Asia region

· Develop technical and market expertise in global commodity area

· Co-develop long range forecast strategic frameworks as well as yearly Op plan commitments.

· Understand business compliance requirements and drive opportunities to eliminate compliance risk as well as driving initiatives to remediate concerns

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in a technical discipline

· A minimum of 6 years of experience in Sourcing, Supplier Quality and / or Supply Chain.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMNT:

· Willingness and ability to travel at least 30%

· MBA and/or financial experience

· Strong oral and written communication skills

· Strategic thinker / planner

· Strong quantitative and analytical skills

Strong project management and process improvement skills

· Demonstrated change agent

· Six Sigma Green Belt / Black Belt or equivalent Quality certification

· OMLP / MMP graduate
