Role Overview

The Traffic Management team is an integral part of the Technical Infrastructure and Platform organization and is responsible for building traffic management systems that are leveraged across the entire company. Since the platforms we build are key to the success of a broad set of backend engineering teams, we focus on systems that provide high availability (5 '9s) and extremely low latency. We are also pioneering efforts related to enhancing developer productivity using AI. We are looking for a Staff software engineer who is highly motivated and experienced in building state-of-the-art solutions that deliver business value.

What You Will Do

Deliver products that accelerate velocity and deliver business value using state of the art AI technologies (agentic frameworks, MCP)

Do more with less. Have a keen eye for optimization and systemic improvements across the development lifecycle

Design and build backend distributed systems and SDKs that can be leveraged across multiple backend systems and teams

Collaborate with technical leaders across the organization to arrive at innovative and optimal design choices to solve business needs

Be obsessed with Reliability. Take pride in delivering complex changes incrementally with long-term value and sustainability

Demonstrate excellence resulting in scalable systems and services with the highest quality architecture and design

Dive deep into critical system issues, proactively addressing similar root causes, and raise the bar on Operational Excellence

Disseminate knowledge and technical expertise to a wide range of stakeholders across the company

Basic Qualifications

7+ years of professional software development experience

6+ years of experience working in backend systems with a focus on Java

6+ years of experience working in data technologies - SQL and NoSQL

Expertise and working knowledge of AI technologies and toolsets, specifically on increasing developer velocity delivering business value

Proven experience on delivering mission critical projects at large scale

Experience with cloud computing - one or more of AWS/Azure/GCP

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in server-side web app frameworks such as Spring Boot

Experience with shift left methodologies focusing on high quality and faster time to market

Deep understanding of modern web application architectures and design patterns that lead to high performance and scale

Deep appreciation for metrics and observability with undeterred focus on raising the bar for the quality of services

Tenacity to dive deep into complex issues, identifying root causes and resolving them

Document Return Policy

This notification is given pursuant to Article 11 (6) of the Fair Hiring Procedure Act.

In such case, within fourteen (14) days from the date of identifying the receipt of the request, the Company will send the hiring documents to the job applicant’s designated address via registered mail. Please be informed that the job applicant is required to pay the postage on the registered mail.

In preparation for a job applicant’s request for the return of hiring documents pursuant to the main sentence of paragraph 2 above, the Company shall retain the original hiring documents submitted by the job applicant for 180 days from the completion of the recruiting process. If no request is made until the end of this period, all his/her hiring documents will be destroyed immediately in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act.

The above paragraphs 1 - 4 shall only apply when the labor-related laws of Korea govern the application. They are otherwise not applicable.
