Staff Implementation Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Tax Analyst - Avalara for Accountants based in the United States.

This role serves as a senior compliance expert and trusted relationship partner for a portfolio of accounting firms. You will own the end-to-end sales and use tax returns experience, from customer onboarding and validation through filing, notice resolution, and continuous improvement. The position combines deep multi-jurisdictional tax expertise with customer relationship management, operational excellence, and process optimization. You will prepare and review complex returns while resolving jurisdictional notices and providing clear guidance to accounting professionals. A major focus is using automation and AI to reduce manual work, improve accuracy, and increase operational throughput. You will also mentor junior colleagues, strengthen team capabilities, and help establish higher standards for compliance quality and technology-enabled tax operations.
