Job Description

  • Overview:
  • The Manager, Acceptance Solutions Sales Executive is responsible for identifying prospect clients for a particular product family and supporting strategic account planning under Account Executive orchestration. This role proactively helps Account Executives identify opportunities across the assigned product family or solution and owns product family/solution opportunities from qualification to close. The incumbent demonstrates product/service capabilities to clients at a moderate technical depth and engages Sales Engineers as needed for more complex selling efforts. The role ensures that sold products/services/solutions are activated and revenue is realized, drives upselling and cross-selling within existing accounts, and is responsible for business renewal for the product family.

Specialist sellers focus primarily on net new clients to Visa or product-family-only clients, supporting all activities of core specialist sellers. Based on the propensity to buy additional products, clients may graduate to being assigned a Generalist seller.

All roles require digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and generate new business opportunities for Visa Acceptance Solutions, supporting strategic account planning and pipeline development.
  • Own product family/solution opportunities from qualification to close, ensuring activation and realization of revenue.
  • Demonstrate product/service capabilities to clients and engage Sales Engineers for complex selling efforts.
  • Drive upselling and cross-selling of product family within existing accounts and manage business renewal processes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address country-specific requirements in product development and solution deployment.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of product and regulatory requirements to facilitate successful solution roll-outs.
  • Develop insights into the payment market, articulate opportunities and challenges, and collaborate across teams to address them profitably.
  • Serve as an individual contributor, aligning the overall proposition narrative across functions and channels.
  • Support team account planning, forecasting, and sales processes.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a bachelor’s degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD.
  • Experience in selling products or solutions, preferably enterprise Software, BPM, SaaS, Professional Services, or IT industries.
  • Experience in payment services strongly desired.
  • Experience in interpreting different data sources and extrapolating learnings to identify possible courses of action or correction.
  • Expertise in analyzing and managing closed-loop marketing/sales processes.
  • Significant customer relationship management and influencing skills in a solution sales environment.
  • Ability to skillfully prioritize and manage concurrent projects and issues.
  • Experience working across boundaries and in partnership with others to achieve goals.
  • Experience identifying growth areas/new opportunities for business by anticipating future needs/trends in industry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
  • Graduate degree required, MBA preferred.
  • Experience with cards acquirers, payment gateways, or payment facilitators is highly desirable.
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience managing teams and collaborating across functions.
  • Results-driven with a client-oriented approach.
  • Strong influence skills at multiple levels, including Executive/C-level.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly organized with project/program management experience.
  • Strong strategic thinking and execution capabilities.
  • Able to solve complex commercial, solution, and organizational problems.
  • Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time, both domestically and internationally.
