Structural Design Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION

• •Performs structural analysis and designs of marine structures including ships, offshore platforms and other marine structures
• •Performs basic rule scantling calculation, ISE, longitudinal hull girder strength
• •Utilizes advanced finite element analysis (FEA) tools and software to conduct stress, fatigue, and dynamic analyses
• •Develops and validates structural models to simulate and predict performance under various loading conditions
• •Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural analysis results into overall project designs
• •Prepares detailed technical reports, design documentation, and presentations for stakeholders
• •Ensures compliance with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
• •Participates in design reviews, risk assessments, and failure mode analysis
• •Provides technical support during the construction, installation, and operational phases of projects
• •Stays updated with the latest advancements in marine structural engineering and analysis methodologies

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field
• •Experience with structural analysis of offshore wind turbines, oil & gas platforms, and subsea structures and marine vessels
• •Proven experience in structural analysis and design of marine structures
• •Knowledge of marine construction techniques and materials.
• •Proficiency in using FEA software such as DNV Sesam, ANSYS, ABAQUS, or equivalent
• •Strong understanding of marine structural codes and standards (e.g., DNV GL, ABS, ISO).
• •Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• •Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
• •Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
