Structural Engineer IV

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer IV to lead and execute complex engineering projects from concept through detailed design and construction support. In this role, you will apply advanced engineering principles, perform structural analysis and design, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and provide technical leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and within scope, schedule, and budget.

Required Qualifications

• •Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• •Structural engineering coursework required for structural-focused positions.
• •6-10 years of relevant industrial civil/structural engineering experience.
• •Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; may be required based on project needs.
• •Strong understanding of structural design codes and industry standards including IBC, ASCE, AISC, and ACI.

Key Responsibilities

• •Develop conceptual designs, engineering studies, and cost estimates for industrial and manufacturing projects.
• •Prepare preliminary and detailed civil/structural designs, calculations, material take-offs, and construction documents.
• •Perform structural analyses and develop practical, cost-effective engineering solutions.
• •Review and check engineering calculations, drawings, and design packages for accuracy, code compliance, and quality.
• •Coordinate with drafting, design, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to support project execution.
• •Review vendor drawings, fabrication documents, and construction submittals for compliance with project requirements.
• •Develop construction specifications and support procurement activities.
• •Conduct site visits, field investigations, and provide construction-phase engineering support.
• •Identify design improvements, scope changes, and execution strategies to improve project outcomes.
• •Lead civil/structural engineering efforts on projects while maintaining focus on scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
• •Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• •Support work-sharing and coordination across multiple offices and project teams.
• •Assist with project planning, staffing, scheduling, and engineering hour estimates.

Technical Skills

• •Proficiency in structural analysis and design software.
• •Working knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar CAD platforms.
• •Strong understanding of industrial facility, process plant, and manufacturing project design practices.
• •Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• •Ability to interpret, apply, and communicate engineering codes, standards, and specifications.

Physical Requirements

• •Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• •Ability to perform occasional field visits, including industrial site inspections.
