Subject Matter Expert

We are looking for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Patch and Remediation to join our team. This is a hands-on technical role focused on vulnerability remediation, patch management, endpoint management, and IT remediation practices .

The SME will work closely with customers, sales, support, engineering, and product teams to demonstrate solutions, solve technical challenges, support evaluations, and help customers successfully adopt Qualys remediation capabilities.

The ideal candidate should be able to combine deep technical knowledge with strong customer-facing and communication skills . The candidate should be comfortable getting hands-on with remediation problems, demonstrating solutions, working with customers, and translating real-world requirements into practical technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• •Demonstrate profound subject matter expertise in vulnerability remediation , including patching, mitigations, and scripting.
• •Act as the voice of customers , delivering value-centric demonstrations and advising customers on best practices for deployment.
• •Act as a trusted advisor and evangelist for Qualys TruRisk Eliminate products , leveraging hands-on experience in the remediation and IT domain, along with an understanding of CTEM and vulnerability management .
• •Collaborate proactively with support and engineering teams to resolve issues and troubleshoot design and deployment challenges.
• •Assist the sales team in responding to RFPs/RFIs , drive customer Beta and POC engagement , and ensure success.
• •Create targeted technical content, including pitch decks, use cases, demo videos, feature blogs, and solution briefs .
• •Deliver sales and partner training with impeccable content, keeping the team updated on the latest features and capabilities.
• •Analyze the competitive landscape , develop competitive intelligence documents, and train sales teams on positioning Qualys products against competitors.
• •Collaborate with Product Marketing to create product collateral and demos.

Required Qualifications

• •2+ years of experience in solution engineering, pre-sales systems engineering, or field evangelism, with a background in IT best practices or scripting being a significant advantage.
• •Proficiency in patching and endpoint management .
• •Hands-on experience with scripting, including Bash/Shell, PowerShell, and Python .
• •Experience with CTEM and Vulnerability Management .
• •Experience with deployment tools .
• •Hands-on experience with Windows, Linux/Unix, and Mac operating systems is a must.
• •Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills , with the ability to explain complex requirements in simple terms.
• •Comfortable with conflicts and capable of influencing cross-functional teams without formal authority .
• •Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience .
