Summer 2027 Intern - Product Analytics

An internship with our company is a great opportunity to build your skillset and explore your career interests. Our summer student internship is a 10 to 14 week program that starts in mid May and ends in August. During your internship, you'll work on impactful projects that make a difference at our company, with our customers, and in our communities.

You'll also gain exposure to different areas of our business and have numerous opportunities for networking and coaching.

Interns may be eligible for a one-time hiring bonus to assist with housing costs depending upon proximity to an our company office location.

• Compensation Minimum: $25.00
• Compensation Maximum: $39.00

Responsibilities

• •Develop an understanding of our business, corporate culture and structure to support your work.
• •Contribute creative ideas and strategic approaches in response to changing situations.
• •Support a defined subset of Home Central subregion, product, or project work under the direction of an analyst or manager, including clarifying the question, audience, scope, metrics, assumptions, and limitations.
• •Contribute to process improvement, deep-dive analysis, automation, monitoring, or workflow documentation efforts that improve the quality, consistency, repeatability, or efficiency of teamwork, often in collaboration with analysts, business partners, or adjacent Product Analytics teams.
• •Evaluate defined views, data outputs, or business trends; identify notable movement or discrepancies; validate results; and draft concise commentary or recommendations for analyst review.
• •Research selected competitive, market, product performance, or operational signals and separate sourced facts from interpretation.
• •Use approved AI and analytics tools, including technologies such as Claude Code, Copilot, and Everyday AI where appropriate, to support research, synthesis, query or code assistance, workflow improvement, quality checks, automation, and communication, with human validation and accountability for the final work.

Requirements

• •Must be in student status at an accredited 4-year college or university during the internship, graduating August 2027 or later.
• •Must be pursuing a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD.
• •Major/program must align with internship role.
• •Preferred majors or coursework include data analytics, economics, finance, statistics, mathematics, actuarial science, information systems, computer science, business, or other quantitatively grounded programs.
• •Preferred experience includes analytical reasoning, curiosity, motivation and follow-through, clear written and verbal communication, attention to accuracy, learning agility, and constructive collaboration.
• •Helpful differentiators include SQL or other data-query exposure, visualization experience, hypothesis or root-cause thinking, process improvement, business or insurance context, and responsible AI use with validation.

Additional Information

• •To ensure a strong start, all employees participate in our New Employee Orientation during their first week. This experience is held in person at our Madison, WI Headquarters or one of our AmFam core locations to help you connect with our mission, meet key team members and build relationships that support your growth. At times, sessions may be delivered virtually based on scheduling and availability.
