About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is with the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command, Associate Chief of Staff, G-4 Intelligence materiel Activity, Distribution Division located at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Duties

• •Direct the efforts of a professional and technical workforce engaged in executing technical support to U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) units and intelligence systems deployed worldwide.
• •Manage logistics support planning for systems under development for INSCOM units.
• •Ensure program objectives are achieved in an expeditious manner.
• •Analyze workload of assigned personnel to establish efficient management practices.
• •Assign work based on priority, difficulty of the assignment, and employee capability.
• •Serve as a mentor to subordinate employees.

Specialized experience is defined as experience: Directing and monitoring a professional and technical workforce engaged in the planning, coordination, and execution of technical support to deployed intelligence units or systems; and Managing logistics support planning for systems under development and integrating Division-level activities to ensure required support is delivered to all projects; and Supervising multi-functional teams, to include planning work, setting priorities, assigning work, developing performance standards, resolving complaints, effecting minor disciplinary actions, and determining training needs; and Formulating office-level policies, ensuring execution of higher-level orders, and exercising direction, control, supervision, and coordination of decisions affecting assigned projects and high-visibility programs. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS/GG-14).
