Duties

• •Provides specialized management advice and assistance to supported customers regarding complex financing, budgeting concepts, principles, and practices.
• •Serves as the final technical authority on finance analytic issues.
• •Responsible for supervising a work unit performing enterprise level mission essential activities which facilitate the mission of the Defense Finance and Accounting Service.
• •Plans, formulates, and designs financial policies and procedures to enhance the validity, accuracy, and integrity of core processes.
• •Provides specialized knowledge in finance concepts, principles, practices, techniques, and systems.
• •Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates financial management indicators to assess the overall efficiency of operations.

Qualifications

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-13) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as: Providing expert guidance to senior leaders on planning, managing, executing, or evaluating enterprise level data analytics projects and programs; leading reviews and analyses to improve performance, efficiency, and standardization; leading data analytics projects and recurring reporting; and developing employee capabilities within the Data Analytics Center of Excellence (DACoE). You may qualify for consideration if meeting specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
