Supervisory IT Specialist

Summary

This position is in the Office of Finance and Administration, Office of the Chief Information Officer, Information Technology Operations Division, Enterprise Operations Branch, Infrastructure Services Section. This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to one of the duty stations stated in this announcement on a regular basis (location TBD after candidate selected).

Duties

You will: Lead Agency-wide information technology (IT) services, to include leading the development and maintenance of national systems. Serve as the Agency expert for all National Computer Center (NCC) East/West and Cloud Hosting environments customer service issues. Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Develop policies and procedures for the support of national computer systems. You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements. One or more positions may be filled (in the organization advertised and/or in other organizations), if appropriate to the position.

Qualifications

You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for the GS-15 level, you must meet the minimum proficiency level for each of the following required competencies: Attention to Detail (Level 4 - Advanced) Customer Service (Level 4 - Advanced) Decision Making (Level 3 - Intermediate) Information Management (Level 4 - Advanced) Interpersonal Skills (Level 4 - Advanced) Oral Communication (Level 3 - Intermediate) Problem Solving (Level 4 - Advanced) Teamwork (Level 4 - Advanced) Technical Competence (Level 4 - Advanced) In addition, you must have the equivalent of 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level defined as leading and advising on information technology system modernization strategies; advising teams, stakeholders, and/or senior executives on information technology programs, policies, or procedures; and overseeing budget planning and execution.
