Summary
About the Position: This position is for a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist with the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM), AMCOM Logistics Center, AMCOM Field Maintenance Directorate. Serves as Division Chief of assigned area accomplishing work through a group of professional, technical, and support personnel. The pay band NH-04 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-14. Capped at GS-14 step 10.
Duties
- Serves as deputy or division chief of assigned area accomplishing work through a group of professional, technical, and support personnel.
- Directs, develops, and/or implements logistics policies, processes, initiatives, and/or programs for major, highly complex weapon or information systems acquisition in the areas of Logistics Support.
- Develops milestones for projects.
- Performs the full range of administrative and technical supervisory duties.
- Evaluates performance of subordinates; gives advice, counsel and/or instruction to subordinates on both work and administrative matters.
- Develops performance standards.
- Exercises full authority as a member of the pay pool management, in assessing contribution and preparing statements of duties and experience for Demonstration employees.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized experience: one year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03/ GS-13 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service that includes: 1) Applying advanced concepts, principles, practices, and regulations pertaining to the field of logistics management related to weapon system project/programs; 2) Logistics Contract Experience to support requirements, Budget planning/execution; and 3) Providing leadership or managing logistics supply and maintenance, weapon system programming and allocation while overseeing materiel acquisition policy in order to integrate the separate logistics functions. THIS IS A CAP POSITION: ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Highest category of certification in the applicable functional area, except for Program Management, which requires Practitioner or higher category certification. Incumbent must execute 3-year tenure agreement, except as tailored by the CAE. GS-14 or equivalent/O-5 level or above 4 years of acquisition experience
