Supplier Quality Assurance is seeking an experienced quality practitioner to be a Pratt & Whitney Supplier Quality Assurance Representative. This position covers the Japan Region and reports to the Sr. SQA Manager of the Asia Region. This person will travel to supplier sites as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• •Supplier on-site quality support.
• •First Article Inspection approval.
• •Manage Supplier Authorized to release program
• •Supplier surveillance audits.
• •Support PW initiatives throughout the supply base.
• •Support quality initiatives at the supply base as required.
• •Support escape/non-conformance/RCCA investigation

Basic Qualifications:

• •Engineering Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 10-15 years experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Inspections and/or Quality Auditing experience.
• •Japan citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications:

• •Knowledge of AS9100 and PW specifications preferred.
• •Experience with First Article Inspection.
• •Experience with RCCA.
• •Inspection Knowledge is a must
• •AS9100 Internal/ Lead Auditor is plus
• •Familiarity with shop operations, work instructions, and quality documentation.
• •Familiarity with various inspection tools and techniques including layout inspection is preferred.
• •Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and procedures.
• •Castings/forgings experience a plus.
• •PPAP experience a plus.
• •Ability to interact with all levels of management.
• •Ability to effectively manage time and work with minimal supervision.
• •Experience with tools such as MS Office or similar spreadsheet, presentation and word processing applications.
