About the Position: This position is located at Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

• •Manage medical supply inventory by ordering, tracking, replenishing, and maintaining stock levels of medical and non-medical supplies.
• •Coordinate supply operations by researching sources, processing requests, resolving shortages, and ensuring timely availability of required items.
• •Receive, inspect, and distribute supplies while verifying accuracy, documenting deliveries, and ensuring proper storage conditions.
• •Conduct inventory control activities including stock counts, discrepancy resolution, expiration date monitoring, and removal of unserviceable materials.
• •Maintain supply records and reports by preparing purchasing documentation, tracking transactions, analyzing usage trends, and supporting budget and supply management efforts.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting supply ordering transactions with automated computer supply system; identifying potential errors in supply records; and storing incoming supplies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
