Surgical Dental Assistant – Hands-On Patient Care

What You’ll Do :

Prepare operatories for set-up, decontamination, sterilization, cleaning, restocking, maintaining lab & procedural areas and ensuring equipment is ready for each patient.

Provides positive customer service to patients by escorting, communicating, and prepping them for care by doctor. Review history and progress of treatment plans with patients.

• •Monitor patients during IV sedation procedures in accordance with state regulations and office protocols., take blood pressure as needed.
• •Takes X-Rays, CBCT imaging, impressions, pours & prepares study models, coordinates lab cases.

Records treatment information on patient’s charts, schedules appointments, and provides follow up and post op direction and instructions to patients.

What You Need :

Graduate of accredited Surgical Assisting program

2 years of Dental Assisting experience required, 3+ years surgical assisting preferred

• •Prosthodontics experience: including bone grafting & implants
• •Skilled in utilizing standard surgical office equipment including Autoclave, statim, model trimmer, Panoramic/CBCT, oxygen, laser, intra oral camera, hand pieces, etc.

• •CPR, BLS, & First Aid Certified
• •Preferred experience in a periodontic, oral surgery, prosthodontic, or implant focused practice
• •Preferred experience with digital workflows, intraoral scanners, and implant treatment planning software.
• •Preferred knowledge of full-arch and hybrid implant procedures and advanced implant restorations.
