ABOUT NYMBUS
Nymbus is not just a leader in fintech; we are a community of innovators passionate about reimagining banking. Our modern banking platform and cloud-based technology help financial institutions modernize, grow, and deliver differentiated experiences to their customers and members.
Nymbus is building the next generation of fintech platforms, and Domain Owners are among the most consequential leadership roles in delivering that vision.
The SVP, Product Management, Origination role owns the products and experiences that enable banks and credit unions to attract, acquire, onboard, and deepen relationships with new and existing customers and members — spanning digital deposit account opening and eLending.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
We are a remote-first company, with occasional travel required for team collaboration or client engagement.
POSITION SUMMARY
The SVP, Product Management, Origination is the senior product leader responsible for the strategic direction, product performance, squad output, and commercial outcomes of Nymbus' Origination domain.
You will lead the product teams responsible for how businesses and consumers originate new financial relationships both online and in-branch across all product types, including credit cards, loans, deposits, and more across the product suite.
This is not a traditional product management role. You operate with four capabilities simultaneously: strategic product leadership, people leadership, deep banking origination expertise, and AI-first execution.
You are expected to be a hands-on subject matter expert who understands how banks and credit unions acquire customers and members, originate accounts and loans, manage risk and compliance throughout the application lifecycle, and integrate origination platforms into the broader banking ecosystem.
You should be equally comfortable discussing market strategy with an executive team, walking through an application funnel with a client, diagnosing friction in an onboarding workflow, and working with product and engineering teams to determine what needs to change.
YOUR DOMAIN: ORIGINATION
The Origination domain encompasses the technology, workflows, integrations, and experiences required to turn a prospect into an active banking customer or credit union member.
Deposit Origination
Own the end-to-end account-opening experience for consumer and business deposit products, including:
Digital account opening and application workflows
Customer and member onboarding
Identity verification and authentication
KYC, CIP, OFAC, fraud, and risk decisioning integrations
Eligibility and membership qualification
Product selection and configuration
Account ownership and titling
Beneficiaries and joint applicants
Funding and initial deposits
Disclosures, consent, and electronic signatures
Application review, exception handling, and abandonment
Third party relationships and integrations
Core account creation and downstream integration
Cross-sell and relationship expansion
Conversion optimization across the origination funnel
Loan Origination
Own the digital lending origination experience from application through booking, including:
Business and consumer loans and other digital products
Applicant identity and eligibility
Credit bureau and third-party data integrations
Credit decisioning and underwriting workflows
Pricing, offers, terms, and disclosures
Document collection and verification
Fraud and risk controls
Automated and manual decisioning
Adverse action and regulatory requirements
Electronic signatures
Funding and disbursement
Loan booking and handoff to servicing/core systems
Application status and customer communications
Funnel performance and conversion optimization
You will ensure these capabilities work together as a cohesive origination platform rather than as disconnected products.
