System Administrator

About the Role

MADTECH.AI is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented System Administrator to manage and support our Windows, Linux, Microsoft 365, and AWS environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining IT infrastructure, ensuring system availability and security, supporting end users, and assisting in cloud and infrastructure operations.

Key Responsibilities

• •Administer and maintain Windows Server, Linux systems, and Active Directory.
• •Manage Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Intune.
• •Support AWS infrastructure including EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, and VPC.
• •Provision user accounts, manage permissions, licenses, and MFA.
• •Perform system monitoring, patch management, backups, and routine maintenance.
• •Troubleshoot server, operating system, cloud, and Microsoft 365 issues.
• •Assist in implementing security best practices and compliance requirements.
• •Automate routine administrative tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• •Maintain system documentation and collaborate with Infrastructure, DevOps, and IT Support teams.
• •Participate in rotational shifts and on-call support as required.

Qualifications & Skills

• •Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• •3–5 years of experience in System Administration.
• •Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Linux Administration, and Microsoft 365.
• •Working knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, IAM, S3, RDS, and VPC.
• •Good understanding of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls).
• •Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
• •Basic scripting knowledge using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• •Familiarity with backup, monitoring, and endpoint security tools.
• •Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
• •Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or CI/CD tools is an added advantage.

Preferred Certifications

• •Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals (MS-900)
• •Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Associate
• •AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or Solutions Architect – Associate
• •RHCSA/RHCE or Microsoft Windows Server Certification

Work Requirements

• •Willingness to work from the MADTECH.AI Mysuru office .
• •Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including General, EMEA, and ET hours, as required.
