System Test Engineer

As a System Test Engineer, you will be responsible for testing power electronics inverters & other BEV components on a HIL. You will be part of a multicultural, multidisciplinary engineering team working on projects across multiple locations.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• •Conduct thorough reviews of system requirements and system architecture designs (SYS2, SYS3).
• •Develop system test cases and specifications using appropriate test techniques, ensuring traceability (SYS4, SYS5).
• •Automatize the System and Software tests by developing and maintaining scripts.
• •Run System, Software and Hardware tests on Low and High Voltage benches by following test case procedures.
• •Communicate test status and test results through formal reports, meetings, and task boards, including failure reporting.
• •Conduct preliminary failure analysis and support problem solving activities.
• •Support the setup, maintenance, and commissioning of test benches.
• •Create technical documentation, including work instructions, diagrams, and electrical drawings.
• •Measure and analyze electrical parameters using dedicated devices and appropriate methodologies.
• •Participate in retrospectives and continuous process improvement initiatives.
• •Collaborate effectively with system development engineers and function owners.

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• •Master’s degree in Electrical, Electronic Engineering or Mechatronic with strong experience in testing and validation of complex systems (Software and Hardware).
• •5+ years of previous experience in automotive industry
• •ISTQB Certified Tester (Foundation Level) is a plus.
• •Solid understanding of system-level test techniques.
• •Knowledge of ASPICE and the V-Model development lifecycle.
• •Understanding of automotive standards such as ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) and ISO 21434 (Cybersecurity).
• •Hands-on experience with test automation tools (e.g., CAPL, ECU-Test).
• •Proficiency in measuring electrical parameters using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal analyzers.
• •Basic programming skills in one or more languages (C, C++, Python, MATLAB) and familiarity with Simulink models.
• •Preferred tool experience: CANoe, CANape, TraceTronic ECU-Test, NI LabVIEW, Diagra, ETAS INCA, ControlDesk NG, ConfigurationDesk NG, JIRA, Polarion, SCM/Bitbucket.
• •Creative and Big picture thinker with an eye for details.
• •Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities .
• •Ability to occasional travel within EU or Internationally if required.
• •Ability to work flexible hours to support multi-shift operation if necessary
• •Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%
• •Ability to work self-dependent under limited supervision
• •Must be highly aware and adhere to high voltage safety standards and procedures
• •Knowledge of Excel/XML/XLST standards
• •Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• •Fluency in English is required. German/French would be an advantage.
