Systems Developer

Overview

Black Canyon Consulting (BCC) is searching for a Systems Developer to support the design, development, integration, and enhancement of enterprise systems using the Microsoft Power Platform and related technologies. The Systems Developer will work with technical teams and stakeholders to build scalable, reliable, and maintainable system-level solutions that align with enterprise architecture standards and evolving business requirements.

Job Description

The Systems Developer will design, develop, configure, and enhance system-level solutions using Microsoft Power Platform technologies, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, connectors, and related tools. This position will support system architecture, data modeling, integration, and environment management activities that enable reliable enterprise applications.

The Systems Developer will also analyze system behavior, troubleshoot technical issues, optimize performance, implement approved enhancements, and support system releases and production operations. The position requires close coordination with developers, architects, technical teams, and business stakeholders throughout the system lifecycle.

Required Skills

Experience designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise systems

Experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform technologies

Hands-on experience with Power Apps

Hands-on experience with Power Automate

Experience working with Microsoft Dataverse

Experience configuring and integrating connectors and external systems

Experience with system architecture and system-level design

Experience with data modeling and application data structures

Experience implementing technical configurations and custom components

Experience developing or supporting system interfaces and integrations

Experience troubleshooting system issues and analyzing system behavior

Experience optimizing system performance and reliability

Ability to develop and maintain system design and integration documentation

Understanding of enterprise architecture standards and technical governance

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, stakeholders, and end users

Experience Requirements by Level:

Senior: 8+ years of relevant experience

Mid-Level: 6+ years of relevant experience

Junior: 3+ years of relevant experience

Desired Skills

Experience developing enterprise-scale Microsoft Power Platform solutions

Experience with model-driven and canvas Power Apps

Experience developing advanced Power Automate workflows

Experience with custom connectors or custom Power Platform components

Experience integrating Power Platform solutions with APIs, databases, or enterprise systems

Experience with environment management and application lifecycle management

Experience developing system architecture and integration patterns

Experience supporting production Power Platform environments

Experience with system monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting

Experience working within environments subject to formal architecture, security, or compliance requirements

Experience supporting enterprise application releases and deployments

Job Responsibilities

Design, develop, enhance, and maintain system-level solutions using Microsoft Power Platform technologies

Develop solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, connectors, and related technologies

Support system architecture, data modeling, and integration activities

Implement technical configurations, custom components, interfaces, and integrations

Translate evolving business and technical requirements into scalable system solutions

Analyze system behavior and identify opportunities to improve reliability, performance, and maintainability

Refine system designs to align with enterprise architecture and technical standards

Develop and maintain system design documentation and integration patterns

Troubleshoot and resolve system issues, defects, and production problems

Monitor and optimize system performance

Implement approved system enhancements and technical improvements

Support system releases, deployments, and production operations

Assist with Microsoft Power Platform environment management

Coordinate with developers, architects, administrators, and other technical teams

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand system requirements and operational needs

Support the ongoing stability, availability, and maintainability of enterprise systems

Ensure system configurations and integrations comply with organizational architecture, security, and technical standards
