GPC Asia Pacific is seeking an experienced Systems Developer to join our Business Systems Solutions Group.

Reporting to the Application Team Lead, you will design, develop, enhance and support business-critical solutions within our core mainframe-based ERP environment. This role is ideal for a developer with deep CICS COBOL expertise who enjoys solving complex integration and application challenges.

What you’ll be doing

• •Design, develop, test, debug and deploy mainframe application solutions.
• •Support and enhance GPC Asia Pacific’s core mainframe-based ERP system.
• •Map and document interfaces between legacy and new systems.
• •Partner with Business Analysts to prepare solution and design documentation.
• •Assess solution options for technical and business suitability.
• •Prepare and oversee testing schedules, environments and test strategies.
• •Coordinate implementation of new functionality and system changes.
• •Collaborate with Business Intelligence, Systems Integration, PMO, developers and third-party providers.
• •Participate in an on-call support rotation.

What you’ll bring

• •7+ years’ experience in mainframe application design and development.
• •Strong hands-on experience with:
• •CICS
• •COBOL
• •MVS
• •JCL
• •TSO
• •Datacom-DB
• •DB2
• •VSAM

• •Experience developing system integrations using Mainframe CICS Web Services .
• •Strong analysis, solution design, testing and debugging skills.
• •Experience with Datacom-DB will be highly regarded.
• •Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• •Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.
• •Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline.
