Job Title: Talent Development Coordinator

Position Overview
The Talent Development Coordinator is responsible for administrative tasks that support the learning and development department. This includes student and new employee onboarding, LMS support and administration, project planning, instructional design, coordinating in conjunction with departmental development processes and HR initiatives, and other duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
Support learning and development program activities, including logistics for instructor-led trainings (ILT) and annual events/conferences
Assist with Learning Management System (LMS) tickets, ensuring timely responses and issue resolution
Track compliance and training completion to ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory standards
Schedule and manage training sessions, workshops, and certifications
Assist with development of training material and literature
Assist with tracking new employees’ onboarding/orientation
Responsible for student onboarding for intern/externships and observation experiences, including the application process and communication
Maintain employee training records in the LMS for completion of online and in-person ILT courses and conferences
Compile and submit training reports
Maintain training calendars and registration data for upcoming courses and workshops
Assist in administering program budgets for all educational programs
Partner with Human Resources colleagues on organizational initiatives and strategy
Assist in maintaining training information on West’s intranet
Perform other related duties as assigned to support overall organization and employee development initiatives
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Required:
Associate’s degree in Learning and Development, Human Resources, or related field
Minimum of one to two (1–2) years of experience in Learning & Development, Training, HR, or related experience
Preferred:
Experience with LMS platforms such as Absorb or Cornerstone
Education Substitution:
Six (6) years of related experience in Learning Development may substitute for the education requirement
Credential/Licensure
Preferred:
HR certification in one of the following:
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP
CPTD
ASHHRA CHHR
HRCI PHR or SPHR
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of training and development principles, practices, methods, and procedures
Knowledge of effective practices around change management
Knowledge of project management principles and techniques
Knowledge of current and emerging learning technology trends and tools
Ability to coordinate Learning Management System activities, including troubleshooting and resolving issues
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Ability to create, run, and distribute reports
Ability to exercise tact and confidentiality in complex and sensitive situations
Effective oral and written communication skills
Ability to exercise good judgment in decision-making and problem-solving
Ability to plan and organize work and manage projects
Ability to establish and maintain positive internal and external working relationships
Ability to communicate with a variety of audiences with diverse academic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds
Ability to organize and prioritize work assignments and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to analyze situations and respond in a timely manner
Ability to apply common-sense understanding
Ability to deal with problems involving ambiguous or concrete variables in routine situations
Ability to act as a self-starter, working independently and as part of a team
Strong customer service skills and the ability to effectively communicate and work with individuals at all levels of the organization
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Work is generally performed in an office environment
Frequent reaching, sitting, walking, and standing may be required
Some outside travel may be required
No special coordination beyond that used for normal mobility and handling of everyday objects and materials is needed to perform the job
Occasional early morning, evening, and/or weekend work may be required
