Team Lead - Trading

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Team Lead - Trading based in Canada.

• This is a hands-on engineering leadership role focused on building and scaling a high-performance algorithmic trading platform.
• You will combine technical leadership with people management, remaining deeply involved in architecture, coding, design reviews, and production systems.
• The role carries ownership of the team's technical direction, roadmap, delivery, reliability, and long-term engineering practices.
• You’ll work on demanding systems where latency, throughput, concurrency, correctness, and availability are critical to the user experience.
• The position requires strong expertise across frontend and backend engineering, distributed systems, databases, and low-level performance optimization.
• You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Operations, Compliance, Clearing, and other engineering teams in a remote-first environment.
• This opportunity is designed for an experienced engineering leader with a background in trading or exchange systems who wants to remain technically hands-on while developing a high-performing team.
