Team Manager - Adolescent Safeguarding Service

We're recruiting for an exceptional opportunity within Surrey's highly regarded Adolescent Safeguarding Service for our client, where you'll lead talented practitioners supporting young people facing some of the most complex challenges including exploitation, serious youth violence, mental health difficulties, missing episodes and contextual safeguarding risks.

What will your responsibilities be?

As Team Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in leading a skilled team of Social Workers and Practitioners, ensuring outstanding safeguarding practice and positive outcomes for adolescents and their families.

You'll have the opportunity to:

Lead and inspire a talented frontline team

Drive high-quality safeguarding practice

Support staff development, supervision and performance

Manage risk and complexity confidently

Influence service development and innovation

Work closely with Youth Justice, Education, Health, Police and multi-agency partners

Help shape Surrey's evolving adolescent safeguarding model

This is a leadership role where your expertise will directly impact vulnerable young people's lives every day.

Qualifications and Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have;

Existing Team Managers within Children's Services

Advanced Social Workers ready to progress into management

Experienced Senior Practitioners seeking their next career step

You'll need:

Qualified Social Work Degree

Social Work England Registration

Minimum 4 years' post-qualified experience

Experience working with adolescents and safeguarding

Strong knowledge of exploitation, contextual safeguarding, youth violence, missing and risk outside the home

Experience supervising and developing practitioners

Ability to manage complex safeguarding concerns and high-risk situations

Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle
