The Opportunity

This position is based in Guatemala City for our CoreLab Division. As the Technical Application Specialist will develop and improve relationships with the customer and those who in one way or another can influence the decisions about which product to use. Promote services as a consultant and advise on situations and cases that may be presented to the client. Prepare and present solutions to the needs of customers. The person in this position is responsible for customer and sales force training, which involves the use of instruments and the interpretation of data in the following four areas: Routine use of instruments and problem solving Installation of new instruments. Demonstrations and evaluations of instruments. Introduction of new products.

What You’ll Do

• •Ensure that you receive the necessary information about the equipment to give users the required support for existing products, as well as new users. Perform medical-scientific presentations to support our clients.
• •Provide training and after-sales support to customers. Immediately process all queries or complaints that a customer transmits about our products and provide them with a solution as soon as possible.
• •Responsible for the proper functioning of all systems. Track problems customers may have with instruments or equipment; you will need to make sure that the problem is resolved and that the customer is satisfied.
• •Prepare and give the necessary training to the sales force and customers regarding all the Company's diagnostic products. Keep up to date all the training materials and protocols necessary for this purpose.
• •Provide support to the Marketing department in the launch of new products, special seminars to promote the exclusive use of Abbott products, etc. Work with the sales force to develop educational programs.
• •Solve team-related issues in the Central American, Caribbean and Dx Region through phone calls or customer visits, documenting the case for future occasions. Prepare reports for parent company and complete all stationery that the post requires: Quarantines, Disp. End, Field Actions.

Required Qualifications

• •Bachelor’s degree in Chemical and Biological Sciences, Engineering or health related career.
• •Minimum 2 years of similar working experience
• •Previous experience in laboratory routines and administration.
• •Experience with equipment of the diagnostic industry.
• •Language: Fully Bilingual English-Spanish.
• •Microsoft Office: (Excel, Power BI, Power Point, Word).

Travel: 35% of the time.

Fieldwork: 90% of the time.
