We are seeking a talented individual to join our JLT Public Sector team, part of our risk business at Marsh. This role will be based in Melbourne. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

In this role you will provide technical claims advice, coordinate claim activity, and help clients navigate the claims process with confidence. You will work across a portfolio of complex, high-value liability claims, ensuring claims are managed efficiently, accurately, and in line with client and insurer expectations.

We will count on you to:

Manage and support complex, high-value insurance claims from notification through to settlement.

Provide high-quality technical claims guidance to clients and internal teams.

Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters, solicitors, and other stakeholders to progress matters effectively.

Interpret policy wording and assess claim coverage considerations.

Maintain accurate records, reporting, and correspondence throughout the claims lifecycle.

Identify claim trends and opportunities to improve outcomes for clients.

Contribute to a collaborative, client-focused claims service culture.

What you need to have:

Law degree.

Experience in managing complex liability claims including public liability and professional indemnity matters.

Knowledge of liability frameworks, including the Wrongs Act and relevant common law principles.

Experience engaging with stakeholders, such as clients, legal counsels, and industry partners.

Expertise in analysing claims data, recognising patterns, and producing insightful, actionable reports.

A proactive approach with the ability to manage competing priorities.
