TECHNICIAN

Summary

You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the Southeast Alaska Acoustic Measurement Facility of NSWC CARD DIV D. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to the GS-13/14.

Duties

• •You will serve as the Technical Assistant (TA) to the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) for SEAFAC O and M Contract and SEAFAC Janitorial/Food Services Contract.
• •You will provide funds planning, contract compliance input to COR, work directly with COR on contract planning and actions.
• •You will initiate and oversee other procurements and contract actions as needed to support operations and maintenance.
• •You will manage sustainment of all facilities, WHE, MHE, vehicles, barges, and small boats required to meet SEAFAC's missions.
• •You will prioritize condition assessments, monitoring for proper use of equipment within OEM design guidelines, and making recommendations for capital investment.
• •You will oversee contractor implementation of weight handling program and act as an alternate Certifying Official for weight handling equipment.
• •You will execute emergency action plans and communicate appropriately with federal and state agencies during an emergency.
• •You will require familiarity interfacing with contracts departments and financial managers.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: overseeing, advising, or evaluating contractor performance of facilities or equipment operation or maintenance.
