Technician Digital Hardware - Apprentice

• Purpose
• The purpose of this role is to learn, grow and develop the skills required to work on JCDecaux Digital Advertising products, software, hardware, and all aspect of running a support and servicing Digital workshop. Learning aspect will include how all new and replacement hardware is configured, tested, commissioned and in compliance with JCDecaux Digital product standards in high quality and in working order before going onto the live Digital estate and to ensure a 100% successful deployment.
• Key workshop role is to provide the Digital management with constructive feedback on the Digital Products and potential areas of improvement.
• Learning and assisting in creating solutions/methods and tooling for repairing the hardware and basic electronics components.

What you'll be doing...

Health& safety.

Safety procedures: Understanding and practicing safety measures is crucial in Digital Service workshop. This includes handling equipment, using personal protective equipment, following proper safety protocols and attending regular training.

Assisting with daily equipment visual safety inspections and reporting through to the relevant H&S teams in conjunction with the Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Commissioning of Hardware

• •Commissioning new digital advertising assets ensuring they’re fit for installation and minimise on-site interventions.
• •Leaning the Digital Hardware commissioning process and its continuous improvement.
• •Assisting the Project / Field Maintenance teams for any queries in regards progress by updating reporting systems and assisting with day to day with tracking documentations to be made available for digital IT and monitoring teams.
• •Preparing new components for reactive fault resolution such as players and wireless routers and other key operating components.

Lifespan of Digital Products in cooperation with DST team.

Learning the process of commissioning products and importance of recording and sharing data with DST teams.

Assist with the creation of early life reports on new digital products reporting operating issues.

Learning about various electronic components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, and integrated circuits and recording defects.

Reading schematics and circuit diagrams: Learning to interpret and understand electronic schematics and circuit diagrams is a fundamental skill for working with electronics. This includes understanding symbols, component placement, and circuit flow, key components and cabling assemblies types such as power and video delivery.
