A Day in the Life

• •Escolaridad: Preparatoria/Bachillerato terminado o GED.
• •Experiencia: Mínimo 10 años de experiencia en moldeo por inyección de plástico.
• •Experiencia comprobable en setup y cambio de moldes.
• •Experiencia en arranque, ajuste y estabilización de máquinas de moldeo por inyección.
• •Conocimiento de parámetros clave de proceso, incluyendo temperatura, presión, velocidad de inyección, velocidad de plastificación, contrapresión y tiempos de ciclo.
• •Capacidad para diagnosticar y corregir defectos de moldeo, por ejemplo:
• o Flash
• o Short shot
• o Sink marks
• o Warpage
• o Burn marks
• o Variación dimensional
• •Conocimiento de materiales termoplásticos y su comportamiento durante el proceso.
• •Experiencia con equipos auxiliares, como dryers, thermolators/controladores de temperatura, chillers, granulators, loaders y hot runners.
• •Capacidad para utilizar micrómetro, vernier/caliper y otros instrumentos de medición.
• •Capacidad para leer e interpretar planos y especificaciones de ingeniería.
• •Conocimientos básicos de mantenimiento preventivo y troubleshooting de máquinas y moldes.
• •Capacidad para realizar análisis de causa raíz y solucionar problemas de proceso.
• •Manejo básico de computadora y documentación de procesos: hojas de setup, parámetros, reportes de producción y registros de calidad.
• •Conocimiento y cumplimiento de seguridad industrial, LOTO y 5S. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• •Performs installation, maintenance, and repairs on line manufacturing or plant equipment.
• •Locates and diagnoses failures, replaces defective components, and performs basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal and/or written instructions.
• •Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs.
• •Uses a variety of hand, power, and test tools and equipment.
• •May redesign optical, vacuum, electrical, electronic, or mechanical systems for incorporation on existing manufacturing equipment.
• •May estimate labor and equipment costs and prepare requisitions as required.

TECHNICIAN SUPPORT CAREER STREAM: Provides technical support in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement or product development. Uses schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data using established formulae and procedures, and performs detailed mathematical calculations. For higher levels, may suggest and/or make improvements to optimize work processes.

• Runs minor projects, including performing tests, interpreting data, developing reports.

Leadership and Talent Management: Responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area.

• Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires complete and broad knowledge of systems, techniques, tools and procedures typically obtained through prior related work experience, training, and/or education.
• Requires 3+ years of relevant technical experience, which may include a combination of practical experience and applicable training, education, or certification.
• No minimum education requirement.
• Some countries/ jobs may require vocational training and/or certification.
