Compensation: $70 - $90 per hour d.o.e

Hawai‘i Virtual Care (HVC) is a newly established behavioral healthcare company founded by the Owners of Crownview Co-Occurring Institute. With years of experience in behavioral healthcare and clinical program development, HVC is excited to expand into Hawai‘i and build a statewide virtual behavioral health program.

We are seeking a Primary Therapist who is passionate about providing high-quality clinical care and interested

in helping establish and develop HVC's clinical department.

This position offers the opportunity to provide direct clinical services while contributing to the development of

clinical programming, workflows, treatment processes, and team collaboration. As the organization grows, there

may be opportunities to assume additional responsibilities in clinical supervision, staff development, quality

improvement, and clinical leadership.

Position Overview

The Primary Therapist will provide individual, group, and family therapy; complete clinical assessments;

develop individualized treatment plans; facilitate virtual Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) groups; and

collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team.

The ideal candidate is a compassionate and clinically skilled professional who is comfortable working

independently in a virtual environment and interested in contributing to the development of a growing

behavioral health program.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Services

• •Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial and clinical assessments through telehealth.
• •Identify client needs, diagnoses, appropriate level of care, and individualized treatment
• •recommendations.
• •Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans.
• •Provide individual, group, and family therapy using evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches.
• •Provide treatment for mental health, substance use, trauma-related, and co-occurring concerns.
• •Facilitate structured virtual IOP groups, including psychoeducation, process groups, relapse prevention,
• •coping skills, emotional regulation, and recovery-focused programming.
• •Monitor client progress and make appropriate treatment and level-of-care recommendations.
• •Participate in treatment team meetings and clinical consultation.

Clinical Department Development

As an early member of the HVC clinical team, the Primary Therapist will have the opportunity to contribute to:

• •Development and refinement of clinical workflows and processes.
• •Clinical programming and therapeutic group content.
• •Treatment planning and documentation standards.
• •Clinical policies and procedures.
• •Quality-improvement initiatives.
• •Strategies to improve client engagement, continuity of care, and clinical outcomes.
• •Expansion and development of future clinical services.

Leadership & Supervision

• •As HVC expands its clinical team, additional responsibilities may include:
• •Providing clinical consultation and peer support.
• •Mentoring and supporting other clinicians.
• •Assisting with clinician onboarding and training.
• •Participating in clinical supervision and leadership structures.
• •Supporting quality assurance and clinical chart review.
• •Participating in clinical leadership meetings.
• •Assisting with implementation of clinical standards and program initiatives.
• •Candidates with prior clinical supervision, leadership, program development, or team-lead experience are
• •encouraged to highlight that experience.

Documentation, Compliance & Care Coordination

• •Complete timely and accurate assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and
• •other required clinical documentation.
• •Maintain accurate and complete clinical records within the organization's EHR.
• •Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, professional ethical standards, organizational
• •policies, telehealth requirements, and applicable Hawai‘i laws and regulations.
• •Follow established clinical, safety, crisis-response, and emergency procedures.
• •Complete risk assessments and appropriately respond to client safety concerns.
• •Coordinate care with outside providers, referral partners, family members, and community resources
• •when clinically appropriate and authorized.
• •Collaborate with the Clinical Director and multidisciplinary treatment team regarding client progress
• •and treatment recommendations.

Requirements

Qualifications

• •Master's degree or higher in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a
• •related behavioral health field from an accredited institution.
• •Current Hawai‘i behavioral health license or associate-level credential, as applicable to the candidate's
• •profession and scope of practice.
• •Independently licensed clinicians are strongly encouraged to apply.
• •Must reside in Hawai‘i or otherwise meet applicable Hawai‘i requirements to provide telehealth services
• •to clients in Hawai‘i.
• •Experience providing psychotherapy in an outpatient, IOP, substance use disorder, co-occurring, or
• •telehealth setting preferred.
• •Knowledge of DSM-5-TR diagnostic criteria, biopsychosocial assessment, treatment planning, and
• •clinical documentation.
• •Experience working with mental health, substance use, trauma-related, and co-occurring concerns.
• •Familiarity with Motivational Interviewing (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), relapse
• •prevention, trauma-informed care, and other evidence-based therapeutic approaches.
• •Experience providing individual and group therapy virtually.
• •Strong clinical judgment, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• •Ability to independently manage a clinical caseload and virtual schedule.
• •Ability to collaborate effectively with a remote multidisciplinary team.
• •Ability to maintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and ethical standards in a virtual
• •environment.
• •Reliable high-speed internet and a private, confidential workspace appropriate for telehealth services.

Preferred Leadership Experience

• •Experience in any of the following is preferred:
• •Clinical supervision
• •Clinical team leadership
• •Behavioral health program development
• •IOP or PHP programming
• •Staff training and mentoring
• •Clinical quality assurance or chart review
• •Clinical policy and procedure development
• •Multidisciplinary team leadership
• •Launching or expanding behavioral health services

The position will initially be structured as a 1099 independent contractor role. As HVC's client census and

staffing needs increase, there may be an opportunity for the position to transition to a full-time salaried W-2

position.

Any future transition will depend on organizational growth, client census, operational needs, staffing

requirements, and the needs of the clinical department.
